About Media Badges

 

SHCC welcomes members of the Press from around the world and is happy to provide approved media members with a complimentary Press Badge. As with all ReedPOP events, SHCC is a “Fans First” event and approval to receive a Press Badge is not guaranteed. We must maintain a high standard of excellence when we award Press Badges so please understand that

  • Your Press Badge allows access as long as space is permitting. 
  • Your Press Badge does not allow early access, special access or guaranteed seating.
  • Your Press Badge does not allow you to cut lines.
  • Your Press Badge will not allow access into any events requiring an additional ticket.
  • Complimentary Press Badges are extended as a courtesy of SHCC. Each is issued individually and is non-transferable. You may not transfer or sell your Press Badge, and any individuals conducting such activity will be disqualified from Press Badges at future ReedPOP events. We highly recommend that you apply early as there is a chance that we will reach maximum capacity for Press Badges to SHCC 2017 prior to the deadline. Once all Press Badges are allocated, no more will be released.

 

About Online Registration


SHCC Media Registration is open for journalists regularly making editorial contributions (Editorial Press) only. Editorial Press includes Writers, Reporters, Reviewers, Producers, Photographers, Cameramen, etc. who are attending specifically to write about SHCC and/or cover the event for newspapers, magazines, TV, blogs, podcasts, radio, etc. Non-Editorial personnel at media companies such as Graphic Designers, Marketing, Public Relations and Sales staff do not qualify for Press Badges. Non-Editorial applications for Press Badges will not be approved. Your approval for a Press Badge at previous editions of SHCC or other ReedPOP events does not guarantee you a Press Badge for SHCC 2017. You must complete the entire Press Badge application whether you have been approved previously or not.

Press Badges are limited in nature and will be issued only to professionally employed adults. Badges will not be issued to children, family or guests. SHCC reserves the right to approve or deny any application and there is a limit to the number of Press Badges provided to each organization. Decisions are final and cannot be appealed.

Applications will be reviewed in two blocks, with acceptance status emails sent out following each deadline (see chart below). Should you not receive an email with the status of your application by the appropriate date listed here, contact SHCC's Press Officer Mayumi Mayumi.dai@reedexpo.com.cn.

We highly recommend that you apply early as there is a chance that we will reach maximum capacity for Press Badges to SHCC 2017 prior to the deadline. Once all Press Badges are allocated, no more will be released.

  • All Media Registrations are subject to approval. You will be notified if you have been approved for a Press Badge within the date range based on the date you submitted your registration. If your registration is NOT approved, you will be notified and asked to submit additional credentials. If you have been approved, additional information regarding the Press Lounge and Press Badge distribution will be provided in your confirmation email.
  • Multiple Badges If you intend to come to SHCC with a crew (photographer, cameramen, etc.), each member of this crew must complete an application. SHCC reserves the right to limit the number of Press Badges provided to any organization.
  • Application Recommendations Answer every question as truthfully and completely as you can. There are limited Press Badges available, which will be distributed across print, radio, television, websites, blogs and podcasts. Provide as much and as detailed information as you can. Incomplete and vague applications will not be approved.

 

Application Process

 

After reading this page, please click through to the online form which follows. Complete this form in its entirety and submit it to SHCC. After SHCC receives your online application, our Press Office will review your form and respond within the dates listed below. Please understand that simply submitting this form does not guarantee you a Press Badge. It is only after this full form is received, reviewed and approved that a Press Badge will be issued. Incomplete applications will not be approved.

There will be no onsite Press Registration at SHCC. If you wish to receive a Press Badge to SHCC you must apply online.

 

Decisions are Final


SHCC reserves the right to approve or deny any application. This decision is final and cannot be appealed. Include any and all information in your application that will allow the SHCC Press Office to make an informed decision, as you will not be able to submit further information later on if your application is not approved.
